We're sorry your experiencing problems with your credit card machine. Before creating a ticket, we'd like to give you some instructions on how you may be able to fix any issues you are having, especially if your credit card machine freezes.
There are 2 types of reset that you can do with your credit card machine. One is called a "soft" reset and the other is a "hard" reset. We recommend doing a soft reset first to see if it fixes any issues that you are having. If that doesn't work, please try a hard reset. If you are still experiencing any issues after resetting your credit card machine, please create a support ticket and let us know in detail the issues you are experiencing.
Soft Reset Instructions:
- Press and hold both the yellow button and the button to the right of "0" at the same time. (This is usually either # for Lane 8000s models or - for ISC480 models depending on the model of your credit card machine)
- Wait for a few seconds, the machine should beep and the screen will turn dark, indicating a reset
Hard Reset Instructions:
*We have a video that shows how to hard reset your credit card machines. This typically involves removing the power source for the machine and waiting a minute for the machine to reset before plugging the power source back in. Please see "Attachments" on the bottom of this article to view the video.
Still having problems? Please go ahead and create a ticket and give us much information as possible. Is it only affecting one credit card machine or multiple machines? Which computers are connected to this machine? Describe the behavior of the credit card machine. Is it completely unresponsive or is it showing an error on the screen? A logo? If you can send a photo if there is an error, that would be great. An example of a good ticket would be:
Hi, we are experiencing problems with our credit card machine. It seems to affect just the credit card machine that's connected to computer 1. Whenever I try to take payment, it doesn't respond. I've already tried soft and hard resetting it per instructions but it's still not working.
We are experiencing problems with our credit card machine that is connected to computer 2. It shows an error that says "Alert Irruption". Hard resetting the machine does not change the behavior
